Nina Thomas

Biography

Nina has over 18 years of experience as a paralegal in complex litigation, managing all aspects of the litigation process, including drafting pleadings, interviewing, and preparing witnesses, and assisting with depositions, mediations, and trials.

She obtained her Core Registered Paralegal certification from the National Federation of Paralegals in 2011 and is currently working on her certification with the South Carolina Bar.

Prior to joining Lesemann & Associates, Nina worked at a large regional insurance defense firm, a boutique personal injury firm, prominent criminal defense firms, and a regional firm handling public finance, governmental counsel, and construction litigation. Her wealth of experience as a litigation paralegal across a wide range of practice areas makes Nina a valuable asset to the Lesemann & Associates team.

Nina is a Lowcountry native and attended the University of South Carolina where she majored in Political Science and Criminology, earning recognition on the Dean’s List and President’s List each year. She then earned her paralegal certificate from Midlands Technical College, again earning recognition on the President’s List and graduating with honors.

In addition to being a paralegal, Nina has served in various civic and volunteer positions in the community, including serving as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem, PTO Board member, and representative for her James Island Neighborhood Council.

Nina lives in James Island with her two daughters Ainsley and Hayden and her rescue hound dog Rio. In her free time, Nina enjoys spending time at Edisto Beach with friends and family and enjoying live music.
